Our Founder
My name is Andrew
Streat; I was born on the island of Barbados, West Indies, where I lived
for 27 years. My highest education level achieved while
there was college, and I spent nine years working in sales,
and accounting for a major retailing company.
After relocating to
North America, I started working as a sales representative for a
telecommunication company, while continuing my studies in
Business Administration, Marketing, Money Management &
Investing, and Real Estate. These studies were done on a part time
basis, and completed in 1991. |

In 1995, when the
Internet was coming of age, I decided to shift my focus to the
Internet and Computer Technology Industry. I started a course
in Website Development, and Internet Marketing that same year
which was completed in 1999. This was followed by a course in
Upgrading & Repairing PC’s which was completed in 2001.

Our Beginning
Having a
burning desire to start my own business and after careful
research and in-depth reading of books by the renowned Futurist Faith
Popcorn, and other writers like Jim Rohn, Brain Tracy, Paul Zane
Pilzer, and John Milton Fogg; I decided to start a part-time
business from home in the Network Marketing Industry since I was
starting out on a shoe string budget.
Westie International
was formed in October 14th, 1992. We became
an Independent Distributor for one of the fastest growing
Network Marketing companies at that time.
Our product line was
personal care, home care, and nutritional supplements products
which are still a vital part of our marketing focus
today. The distributorship
grew rapidly, and in November 30th, 1993, the
business became a full-time operation. In August 1st, 1994, we opened an
office in Canada to service the needs of the Canadian market.
Our mission was, and still remains today, to
service the needs of the consumer market with good product,
prices, and service that is second to none. This is reflected
in our company motto “Satisfaction is what you get”. |

Our Accomplishments
In 1996
because of Internet technology,
the decision was made to shift our focus to a more global
marketplace. Our product
based was widened, more companies were added to our arsenal, our
Network Marketing focus was reduced and our Internet Marketing
focus was increased.
In 1999,
Online Shopping Web was created and its focus is on consumer
products, while in the year 2000,
we developed the
Internet Marketing Web, and its focus is on internet
business products. |
